Answers to Your Questions
We have compiled the most frequently asked questions about wooden packaging, ISPM-15, and our ordering process. If you cannot find the answer you are looking for, please feel free to contact us.
ISPM-15 is an international standard designed to prevent wooden packaging used in exports from carrying harmful organisms such as insects, larvae, and fungi. It requires wood to undergo a special heat treatment process and to bear the IPPC mark. Since non-compliant wooden packaging can cause customs issues in many countries, ISPM-15 certified crates help eliminate quarantine risks and facilitate customs clearance.
Yes. We perform the required heat treatment in our own ISPM-15 certified 250 m³ heat treatment kiln and apply the IPPC mark to our export crates. This enables us to manage the entire production and marking process in-house without relying on external service providers.
The ISPM-15 standard is required by many countries, including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and European Union member states. In general, wooden packaging used for exports from Türkiye must comply with this standard. Please contact us to verify the latest requirements for your destination country. You may also confirm current regulations through the relevant departments of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye.
No. Certain materials are exempt from ISPM-15 heat treatment and marking requirements. These include wood with a thickness of 6 mm or less, fully processed plywood and particleboard products, wine and spirit barrels heated during manufacturing, gift boxes, sawdust, wood wool, and wooden components permanently attached to vehicles. Please contact us to determine the most suitable solution for your products.

Plywood crates are manufactured from multi-layer pressed panels. Their lightweight yet durable construction, smooth surface, and resistance to moisture and temperature fluctuations make them ideal for transporting sensitive, valuable, and technical products while helping reduce shipping costs. Solid wood crates, on the other hand, are generally preferred for heavy and bulky loads. We will recommend the most suitable solution based on your product's dimensions and weight.
